You should use postcards for holidays. When using postcards for special occasions, like birthdays, or holidays do not advertise. Just send a simple message wishing them a Merry Christmas or whatever the occasion or holiday maybe. Advertising on holidays or special occasions in your postcards can come off tacky. So don't do it. It is better to build and develop a lasting relationship with your potential customer than to try and sell them on every occasion.

Throwing in a free trip or free appliance will help you create new business. If you notice many Fortune 500 companies are always throwing in free trips, free add ons, and all kinds of other free things to help entice customers to buy their product or service just to get the free product. Take for instance McDonald's, they have their Monopoly giveaway game. Many people who normally do not eat at McDonald's purchase food their just for a chance to win something. This is promotional marketing.
